Well I bit the bullet and bought a smaller frame anyway, and have just transplanted everything over. So now this frame is naked and destined to become an expensive clotheshorse unless anyone wants?
Now down to £60 - for a decent aluminium road frame. Almost new - less than 100 miles on it. Size 60cm. You'd need to be over 6' to be comfortable I reckon.
Also, another one of my brilliant panic buys. This is a new Deko, light grey jersey. It's too big (why do I buy stuff that's too big? Clearly I need to compensate for something). There's only one thing worse than a man in a too big cycling jersey and that's a man in a too small cycling jersey. Don't be that guy.
This is marked up as an XL and I reckon will fit a 40" chest. I'm about 37" and lack a couple of inches girth. £10.
I'm in W2. Could also meet around central London.
A few months ago I discovered the Dolan outlet on eBay where they had a few Preffisio frames left for £100. They only had 60cm ones so like a twat I panic bought one thinking what a great bargain.
Well I built it up and as you can see, I've got a crazy stem and a low seat post to make it fit. I'm a hair under 6' and while I can stand over it, it's a bit to close to testicle touching for my liking.
Of course, now there's bloody loads of 56cm versions up for sale. So if anyone's interested in this I'll buy one of those and transplant everything.
So, Preffisio frame only. 60cm. Matt black. I've put less than 100 miles on it. One thing to note is I sprayed the seat tube with matt black to cover the ww.dolan.com advertising. It looks fine :)
You can buy a brand new one for £100 + postage on ebay here.
Or you can have this one for £70.
