This version uses an enterprise-grade search server, so searching is faster and more sophisticated (e.g. when you type 'bb' it matches 'bottom bracket' too). You can filter by brand, and just show discounted stuff.
It's also got a design that adapts well to different screens - and looks quite nice on an iPad, and is usable on an iPhone too (though I've a bit of work to do there).
I've kept it simple and fast. RSS feeds for home page bargains and individual searches are still there, and there's a weekly mailing list that delivers recently discovered discounts.
For the techies out there, it's built on Rails 3.2 with Mongo/Mongoid and Sunspot/Solr. These are fine tools for geeking indeed.
