    The sun was really brutal, but would much prefer that to rain! Having to ride into a headwind for the last 20 or so miles was a little unpleasant.

    I thought that there were only a few hills that were real tear-jerkers, but the way the climbs just kept on coming really took its toll after a while. Came in with a riding time of 6h 25, stopped for about 15mins in total too. Tom - how did you get on? Did you manage to get home at a decent hour?

    Smudgley - I'm the guy who chatted to you briefly on the way up that real fcuker of a hill about half way round (whileaf?). You sir, are bonkers. How did you fare for the rest of the day? Made my stomach turn a bit when i thought about doing that ride fixed.
