Phone up and ask the question. It'll save a lot of embarrassment when you get stopped trying to wheel the bike across the reception.
I recently emailed a hotel where a group of us are planning to overnight and they are allowing us to use a conference room for bike storage on the agreement we clear it by 8am. -

I do this regularly and I've never had a problem - as long as it's clean then I can't see them objecting.

if its clean looking they are normally not bothered. Just mention 'high value' and they will not want it in their storage room.

We are staying at a ibis hotel in a few weeks the night before the London to Brighton ride and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of taking their bike/bikes into a hotel room in London?
I imagine the hotel has a storage room but I think we would probably prefer to keep our bikes with us.
