    I think you have 1 x electronic Kitchen scale and 1 x hanging scale, right?

    Determining the weight target will be difficult. You set yours based on the current legal competition limit based on a sport that happily has all the parts pre-weighed and actively produces light weight parts.

    I am trying to form this based on a track machine, used on the road where weight is not a major consideration and WWs are frowned upon.

    Maybe the idea would be to take my current bike, weigh it, and then see how light I can make it based on the information provided. Then for the fun of it, reduce the target weight to set the challenge (obv. to some sort of round number). This may or may not be more difficult than it looks because some people think my current bike is light, others dont.

    6 kg - easy
    5 kg - challenging
    4.5 kg - difficult
