I'd guess that unless you're talking about serious wwennie carbon parts with rider limits, then decent carbon will be just as strong as light weight alu parts.
Mos def would not worry about carbon seatposts and carbon steerers. TBH other than price or aethetics I don't see why anyone wouldn't use a carbon seatpost - they've been around for jonks are more comfortable, and generally lighter.
