• I bought some Exage brakes on eBay for my Raleigh fixed/SS project. I just assumed they'd be the same setup as most newer brakes with the short bolt and sunken fastener.

Unfortunately for me, they have a long bolt so they are going to need a couple of curved washers to make them fit. I have no idea where I'd be able to find them as my LBS doesn't seem to carry little bits and pieces like that...

I don't want to change them as I spent ages removing the old paint and polishing them.

    Any ideas guys?

  • lol. That's what I paid for the brakes including post. They look like new now, though. Hmmm, I will have to get creative.

    Thanks for the help...

  • you might get lucky and another forumer will have some in their toolbox, I usually have shit loads of that kind of stuff but my spring clean put paid to that

  • Old independant bike shops.

  • I might have some if you're lucky, I'll have a look in the morning and get back to you

  • nope sorry, found one but it was crusted onto a pretty crappy brake, not worth the while.

  • I've got one you can have.
I'll have another rummage through my box but can only find one at the moment.
