Good job it's a relatively flat ride eh?
-
• #5431
Thought it was a hill. Must be angle of the photo.
-
• #5432
A little one, think this is the bit just after turners hill? Best bit of the ride.... Narrow and twisty.

Is that you Malaysian? Doesn't look very Malaysian to me (although that might be the angle of the photo lolz)

Think it's also that the pic reminded me of the Isle of Wight Randonee and the thought of doing that with no brakes really makes my knees hurt.

Malaysian's a nickname, I lived there a while and when I came back the name stuck.
Yes, T for Tom, and conveniently ".The Harlem Globetrotters...",heh. Awkward moment at lmnh when one of the yanks started talking baseball....
Yeah Chris, I was a little worried about my knees as I've been off the bike for a while with injure. It was fine though, its a very rolling ride apart from the ditchling, and on the descents I just rode out front so I could spin out rather than be resisting all the time....

I blame the solar eclipse this morning - put me in a funny mood all day.
When I'm feeling flush I'll replace the cage with some crabon, naturally.
In a non-readers'-wives vein, spotted these two today (not the greatest pics I'm afraid)...
No foot retention, hideous flop-and-chops, whole frame wrapped in some kind of pearlescent tape (which was peeling off in places) and an actual ribbon tied in a bow round the seat tube. Bizarre. And of course, DAT SADDLE.
Always nice to see some HED porn, especially at Japanese prices. The bar angle is whack. Also brakeless, which is daring here.

How is everyone finding their Concor Lights?
I've had a stripped SLR for ages, and it's mad comfy, it just tends to shred my jeans. I thought I'd go for the next most hipster saddle...
-
• #5444
I thought Zoncolan was the hipsterest saddle?? Anyway my ass loves the old shape Concor and dislikes the Concor Light.
-
• #5445
TheSadr, is this yours? Great to see the parts got a matching frame finally. Would love to see it in person. Gernot.

I've been told by a few hipsters that my saddle is "too fat" and "looks out of place on the build". Fuck that - I like it. I thought hipsters usually liked either Brooks or tiny, thin racy things?

Hey Gernot, It's mine.
I'll pass by the shop one of these days. gui

I think PiemelPiemel is right about the Zoncolan, although fuck knows why (disclaimer: I do want one myself)
Concor Light looks way better than original Concor on a modern frame (like those Dosnoventa guys all seem to have)
and I think the shape is the same(?) so it should be just as comfortable. You have skinny steel tubes though so... (: -

That or the SLR (mine's in the post!).

not sure about the shape being the same, have ridden both and they certainly felt vastly different.
They're the 50mm carbon rims from Tokyo Fixed.
