Best cyclocross bike under £1000 and other CX chat

Does anyone know about the cable pull ratios for the breaks on apex vs DA 7800?

Just trying to work out if I will have similar problems on my intended bike, and then if the bb7 or the hope v twin will be the best option.

The hope system is'nt that different from a standard hydraulc disc brake. The only extra bit is the cable to the lever. So it should be as robust as every Hope product.

When the Hydrualic sti's come out. Just extend the lines.
