Your experience with your COMET makes me feel sorry for you.
But another thing that makes me sorry for you is that you think that your COMET has any resemblance with a track purposed frame.
This was built for track riders with legs bigger than two of your bleeding legs and face combined.
I agree it's not built for cobblestone streets and jumping off things, but what track frame is?

Read it again - my experience is that these are manufactured in exactly the same way. Does your frame make any unusual noises?
If your "purpose built track frame" has been anywhere near the gentlemen with the big legs, then surely it's nearing the end of its' life?!
Oh, and I've been up and down kerbstones on ALL of the track frames I've owned. I just wouldn't trust a frame that had been glued together.
