fairly sure its the forks themselves, they're also slightly twisted :( learnt never to let anyone on my bike that tells you they like fixies, and that they've had one, then crashes your bike and says 'i forgot it was a fixie, i'm not used to fixies that carry on going'

Just don't let anyone on it who calls it a 'fixie'. That should sort the wheat from the chaff.
