Hipster photo time.
Got so fucking rained on today (went to Stevenage and back) but after that it was a beaut of a day

needs either a thomson stem or seat post
-
• #57
Looking good. How are you finding it?
Is the chain long enough, or is it just me?
-
• #58
I suspected not, and asked a mechanic when at LBS and he said its ideal length...
love the ride and the fit... did a 120k ride yesterday and it felt fine, a lot less tiring than anything else I've taken on similar distances... -

chain looks fine, if you put it into the smallest sprocket and biggest front ring, the derailleur should point down 90°. It looks like you have it near the biggest sprocket in that photo.

Ah, well spotted.

My fizik tape got wet today and started sliding around I the bars, does
Anyone have any experience with that? How where yours
Apolloxl? -
• #62
is absolutely fine... assuming the wrap is correct and the sticky strip touches the bars....
-
• #63
both are true in my case, I did have to unwrap them once which will have been where the problem lies, sigh, thats another £10 ill have to waste.
-
• #64
All I can say is don't be afraid to pull it tight.
-
• #65
Never happened to me.
I've bought 4 roles of fizik (x3 softtouch, x1 white), rewrapped three of them at least twice each. All still fine. i really don't think you need to buy another set. It's very reusable tape.
Remember you need to pull is as hard and tight as possible, working bit by bit. i usually try to get the majority of the sticky section on the bars, but obviously focusing on neatness/evenness of wrapping.

Apolloxl?I reckon you got a duff packet I have rewrapped it before and it was fine.
-
• #68
Yeah, maybe, it was really unsticky when I took the protective strip off. I might rewrap with the same tape today, see how it goes. But thanks for the help.

he was pushing 6'8" from memory
-
• #72
yeah but his frame was 56 no?
-
• #73
It was, yeah..The Cannondale R1000...
Either way, this stem (actually 120mm, so not a big change) will put me into a more comfortable riding position. Reach was a bit too long with the Easton 130mm
