Yes, I would also hope that it would end there. Whatever your views are (I haven't read them though I am pretty sure they would probably offend me judging by other reactions) they are your views. Perhaps best to consider the amount of diversity on the forum when you share them though, just for future reference? Posts in forums can often be misinterpreted as offensive (although, tbh, sometimes they just are offensive) and if you have extreme views be aware that they can prompt angry responses (my views on reality shows and simon cowell are best kept to myself I feel).
Not wishing to get drawn in, but I am a social worker. I've worked with children looked after and completed assessments for adoption, etc. When it comes to attachment and care for children a person's sexuality has no bearing on this whatsoever. End of story
P.S. I'd be more concerned about a lot more things that parents teach their children other than whether it's great to be gay or straight- propensity to perpetrate domestic violence and physical or sexual abuse is probably a bit more serious don't you think?
