The 1st option seems a bit excessive given that it's all silver and up to $200

Try contact Geoff Moorhouse ( gemo@f2s.com ). He's a mountain biker in Northampton and made headbadges in pewter for people on the singletrack forum a couple of years ago. Iirc it was around £30 each. I think he runs a company making custom die-cast toy cars, so he knows his way around pewter. The email is a couple of years old though. Let me know how it turns out, I'm thinking of having the daily ride resprayed and maybe getting a badge too.

www.ppdltd.com do chemical etching that would produce things like Roolbg's whale, very reasonably priced too.

Will ask about at some jewellers etcPff steel. That's going to get all rusty and eugh. Brass. Brass is pretty, and then gets a pretty patina.

I made my own out of aluminium. I'll try and post a picture if I can work out how to do it.
