Kudos to the court for not pausing even for a minute when the guy set himself on fire. Only disruption was that police asked people not to leave via the main exit until the smoke had cleared. Jury and lawyers all made statements along the lines of "no comment" and "I don't care".
Latest update is that it had nothing to do with the current case. Basically he chose that particular spot knowing that his suicide attempt would reach global fame instantly thanks the all international media permanently parked outside the court house. Apparently he had money problems.
