Not that I'm complaining or hoping for zero costs to get away with.
Guess I was trying to fool my self a bit with getting away without giving enough attention for service after a long period of work the bike has done. Simply checking the chain and trueness of a wheel is just not enough.
Must have finally reached the point where more service is needed and will do so, once parts arrive.
That's true, I also have my lazy days and splash the cash on a train. Which is not a bad thing and can be a relieve if you do happen to be just too knackered to through yourself on a bike. Though it begins to hurt once you start wasting your 'service money' on public transport.
