black cranks, carbon forks, you are become batman
Carbon forks are inevitable. I was toying with the idea of black cranks but I quite like a couple of silver flashes on it.

Took her out for a nice spin earlier to sort out the bar and saddle angles. The BB seems quite high on the Fuji frame which took me by surprise when I turned my first quick corner. The drops are really deep but the Deda bars are pretty square along the top so there are plenty of hand positions.
All in all I'm feeling quite smug about my first project. Future plans for the build are carbon forks, cunt stickers from Dimi3 and possibly some sled wheels. I think I need to go down to HH beginners soon.
I will take some suitably hipster style photos soon.

let me know when you will decide to change the forks, got some track tifosi's with awkwardly short steerer - looks like it may be your length!
all in all, very sexy build. -

A bit of a thread highjack but seeing as this is another Fuji Track build i though it appropriate. Let me know if it's not the done thing and i'll delete.
my first build.
I bought an old Fuji Track frame (06 i believe). The previous owner had cut the seatpost down to about 2 inches and the drop bars had been cut and turned to make some fairly sharp pointy bull horns. They had aslo rattle canned the entire bike but hadn't managed to remove the stem or the cranks or the chainset, or the chain. In fact they had managed to ruin a perfectly good bike.So having salvaged the frame and forks I took them down to Armourtex for a nice coat of RAL 3003.
I wanted to build a rather classic looking track bike but didn't have a massive budget. I ended up buying a set of 165mm Andel cranks and a Stronglight headset from Hilary to give it a slightly older look. My boss gave me his Brookes saddle that he didn't like which added to the overall vintage feel. The pedals are some Kyokuto Pro Ace track pedals from here but everything else is no name generic parts.i think the bars are the first thing i'll change as they feel a touch wide and square. I've added a front brake but i would like to be able to take this down to HH at some point. The wheels are apparently made of cheese so I'll ride them into the ground and the tyres will be changed fairly sharpish as they feel very plasticy.
So there you go. It won't be bothering the porn thread anytime soon and it's a completely different look to roboto's HH/stealth bike from pretty much the same frame.

It's nice to see pics of other Fuji's in here as a comparison but you would usually add those pics to the current projects miscellany thread or start your own project. I don't mind though.
I believe my frame is the 08 version with 1 1/8" steerer which suits my more modern looking build although I do like your vintage look which is the way quill stem frames should look IMO.

That actually look quite smart, add a lugged fork and I reckon you have it sorted.

Just a quick update as I finally think I've finished it in time for the Slide to Brighton next weekend.
Saddle and bar angle sorted. New pedals and Front and rear deep section hipster wheels (Velocity rear on Goldtec hub and H+Son front on Gran Compe hub).
