Too many project bikes and this one has to go. My ladyfriends seemingly limitless patience and garage space, actualy does have a limit after all!
The frame is steel an the paint looks ok with no rust, dings or dents. The top and bottom tube are ovalised. The frame has no stickers except the small BS sticker, which indicates that it's a Falcon, a nice retro name. Mountain bikes size up differently to road bikes, but the seat tube measures 15.5" centre BB to the centre of top tube, and 19" centre BB to the top of seat tube. The bike as pictured fits me ok an I'm 6'1", an was also ridden by my 5'7" ladyfriend, with the seatpost lowered.
The Zoom forks work ok and still achieve a whole 5cm of travel. The 26" wheelset came off another little used bike and have had a single speed screw on freewheel fitted. The Shimano crankset has a chain guard and Diamond Back V8 copy pedals fitted.
It's also had new Tektro V brakes, new inner an outer brake cables, new inner tubes, a new 1/8" chain and new foam grips fitted. An it's all ready to cycle home with no worries.
The bike is shown fitted with some 26"x1.95" black wall tyres, the type with very low knobbly grips on the centre rolling section, which are included with the bike. I've also pictured some retro tan wall tyres, if you prefer these we could probably sort something out. I might even be able to find some 26"x1.5" slick'ish tyres, not sure about these tho.
The rear single speed screw on freewheel has 16t and the front chainring has 34t, this gives approx 55 gear inches.
Any more questions or photos please feel free to ask. Collection prefered from Bromley South area, depending on time could possibly meet at Bromley South train station, which is 15mins from Victoria.
