It's the curse of modern saddles on old bikes. So many of them require an inline post, inevitably 27.2 or thereabouts, and it's difficult to do better than a Thomson for that. Just got a black one for my Colnago. Would have gone for a black series 3T Doric to match the stem but they don't do it in 27.2.
