• #306
If they've got a sub they'll get through, they'd be good enough even if they had to play with me.

Yes
swede.

BTW, who's taking care of the actual organisation of the day? I know it's not going to be hard, but stuff like boards for the goals, goals, brooms etc etc.
-
• #317
The UKHBPA?
I imagine everyone playing will be expected to muck in? Ben/John/Josh may want to take charge?
We should think about moving goals/whatever to Ryan's (if he let's us) in good time and then it's trivial to bring it over to Newington on the day?
-
• #318
Good point.
Me at the moment, though it would be great if people can help.
It will be very much no frills, so goals, whistle, stopwatch, flags, computer, screen, and that's about it. If anyone wants to get some boards that would be good.
-
• #319
The courts really are a lot better with a good brush. Happy to arrive early and help with that.
I know Ryan has 3 in the workshop, but does anyone else have some hard bristled brooms, as with a lot of hands on court it will not take long at all.

If anyone wants to get some boards that would be good.
I would say the boards were pretty essential for a decent playing experience at Newt, but I don't have the means to move them.

**A paragraph on the entry form, **ie the form that every player signs, running something like this:
"I have read & understand the rules of this tournament, and agree to accept the decisions of the referees without question, at all times during play."
A link in the first post on the official tournament thread on this forum, and on the tournament website (if there is one) to the rule-set that the tournament will be using. This link should also be included in confirmation emails.
3 X Whistles, 3 X Stopwatches (1 per court & 1 spare) - Bill has
6 X flags for goal refs (LHBPA has)
loads of baby wipes
clipboards, pens & paper - LHBPA has?
scoreboard
line paint - Bill has.
measured & clearly marked centre line - Newington already has
**measured and clearly marked centre spot **Newington already has
measured and clearly marked goal line - needs to be re-measured & marked
2 goals per court - LHBPA has
2 sets of 3 training bibs of the same colour - LHBPA has
** ice box for balls**, LHBPA has
ice (not necessary for Cambridge tournaments)
**cloths for cleaning balls, **buy on the day
**new balls - **LHBPA has
-
• #322
Someone will have to pay for those balls, say if we need 4 balls for a day, that's about £2 per team, let's call it £1 per player, just to be sure.
-
• #323
I think it's cool to organise everything this year as we normally would, but next year it'd be neat if the UKHBPA could supply all the necessities (potentially making it easy for a regional scene to step up, etc).
-
• #324
If I was asked, which I haven't been, I would say use the LHBPA ruleset, as opposed to a ruleset few (if any? did they use the new NAH rules at LA IV?) in this country have used.
I guess unlimited goals is out of the question, as this is a 'serious' tournament.
-
• #325
Yeah, LHBPA rules are well versed.
Greg's EHBPC 2012 rules may be out by then though, we could even brief all London teams of the best way to exploit them before the event... a ref meeting would be a good idea if switching rulesets for this, etc.
And Ireland.
