It's wrapped from the top down.
Wrong.
I'm on about the caps. Instead of plugs you get those caps with Benotto tape, which I think should have the tape wrapped over their lips to prevent what you see in that picture - a cap added after the tape is wrapped, and which doesn't sit flush with the contour of the wrapped bar.
I did mine how I'm trying to describe, which makes the cap look like it's a regular plug, as it's contained within the wrapping. Looks much neater. Kris is right about heating it to create a bond, but I used concealed tape. Fiddly but well worth it. When I'm bored enough I'll take a photo, which will be tomorrow no doubt.

What tape? All Brooks tape I can find now is full of holes! Where can I get some plain, smooth non-perforated, please?

Ok I'm going to go for it. Going to get some red white and blue tape and try a triple harlequin on drops plus hoods. Straight in at the deep end, no problems.
Does one roll of tape typically do one side of a pair of drops, so you typically need 2 rolls?
Definitely need 4 rolls....two for each side....i failed in my first attempt to do this a few months ago cuz I only bought two....was not happy :)

Hope 'Grip Doctors'. They're ace. I have three pairs in total. Actually one set is going spare if you're interested? In black though.

It's old-style Brooks tape. If you can find some, don't bother with it. It's shit. It lost all of its colour and then went green.
