We've just been told we can't keep bikes in the kitchen at work. I only keep mine there because we got told we couldn't leave them under the stairs. I work in a multi storey block with different companies on each floor.
Our options now are finding a place in the actual office where a parked bike won't get in the way (not easy) or leaving them in the basement or outside.
The basement is a PITA to get to as you have to walk down two flights of stairs to get there and I'm not leaving my bike outside 30 seconds from Trafalgar Square, even if it is a beat up old thing.
Basically, do I have any right to demand secure bike parking, given that we're on the Cycle to Work scheme or am I going to have to lug my bike up and down stairs?
