how can you sell Ned?!
I haven't yet. :-)
Not an easy decision, but a sharp realisation that I have to quit racing has made me take leave of my senses. I'd like to keep him as its been such a brilliant frameset for me in its various guises but...

I'm sure somebody will get lots of joy out of him!

I've had some interest in splitting so I've priced the bits below to split. Thanks.
Flanders lugged steel frame (51cm horizontal top tube).
Chris King 1" ahead headset (pink)
Zeus carbon fork
Frame fork and headset £170
HED disc with 7 speed 13/21 screw on freehub
HED deep section front wheel with bladed spoke
(both wheels with crudely modified "NED" logos - easily returned to HED logos by removing the electrical tape)
Both wheels are tubular with Ritchey "Race Slick" tubs fitted (tubs in good condition)
Front wheel £80, disc £200. £260 the pair. Both include the tub nd skewer and the disc includes the 7 speed freewheel
Syntace bullhorn bars and C2 aero bars (with new Fizik "Trigel" pads fitted) - nice colour :-) £50
Thomson layback 410mm black 27.2mm seatpost (or layforward if you prefer!) Would prefer to keep this.
SRAM Rival brakes the SRAM logo is a bit worn but functionally/mechanically these are very good £30
Bontrager aero brake levers As good as new. Were new when fitted to Ned recently. Been used for one 10 mile TT only. £27 the pair or £15 each (they are indentical so potentially 2 front levers for fixed gear bikes
Truvativ Rouleur GXP crankset with SRAM GXP BB (Italian) £38 with the original 53/39 rings fitted (ie not the dura ace ring)
Dura Ace 54T TT chainring £30 or £60 for the Truvativ c/s, BB and this ring
Shimano 600 rear mech. I think it's referred to as a "tricolour" model £20. Very good condition for its age.
SRAM X8 99 8 speed chain used for one 10 mile TT. Free with disc as it works well with the 7 speed freewheel
Shimano 7 speed down tube shifters (I have a pair, but only the rear is fitted). £20 for the pair. Rear can be used indexed or friction**All prices include delivery. Either postage or personal delivery for bigger items if you're relatively local. PM if interested and/or to see whats possible re delivery. Thanks. Damian. **

I am actually quite tempted to go for the f&f in all honesty to make it a fixed TT project, I had a soft spot for it when you made the thread, and a bit disheartened when you revealed the sad news, I feel the best I can do is set a few PB's on the beast! I won't dibs or PM just yet, I am in the process of selling another bike, so I shall see what I can do when that happens as monetary situations are not great. But if I do go through with the purchase, stay hanging around, i'll do my best to make you proud!

what's wrong with you people?
:-) Nothing wrong with the people, but the steerer was too short for Zender and Str didn't realise the crankset was a double (he is looking for a single ring track chainset). Nice people, just my stuff wasn't quite what they were looking for.

Dibs - will take these :)

How much for the reynolds front wheel???
-
• #20
Bontrager levers sold.
King headset also sold but if anyone wants the fork I'd sell it for £22 posted. It's certainly "used" and the alu steerer is only 167mm in length but in the plus side it's only £22. Definitely not selling the frame though. :-)
The disc looked like it had a new owner but that is also very much available again.

now don't you dare go undibsing this one, skidmark, do you have serious intentions? =)) or do you just dibs every rear carbon wheel you see in classifieds?

Is the rear hub able to be converted to take a fixed sprocket with lockring, or would it be a suicide only type affair?

• #24
has this been resolved?

Howdy. Sorry, no idea what can be done to convert this. I'm really not that technically minded. The bearings in the non drive side are sealed cartridge type so not sure how easy it would be to convert to fixed if
Indeed possible at all. Hope it helps anyway.
It's with great sadness that I'm going to sell my lovely lugged steel Flanders bike. I bought this frame as NOS a couple of years ago and I've used it with great success in various guises in that time. It's a very versatile frameset which has allowed me to use it as a TT bike, singlespeed (semi horizontal dropouts) and a road bike. It's currently in a TT bike format. More details from my recent "current projects" thread below:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread83685.html#post2869796
In essence I'd prefer to sell it as a whole bike for ease (I'm near Maidstone, but could personally deliver in most of the SE if required), but would consider splitting if there were enough interest in the various bits.
In summary:
Flanders lugged steel frame (51cm horizontal top tube).
Chris King 1" ahead headset (pink)
Zeus carbon fork
HED disc with 7 speed 13/21 screw on freehub
HED deep section front wheel with bladed spoke
(both wheels with crudely modified "NED" logos - easily returned to HED logos by removing the electrical tape)
Both wheels are tubular with Ritchey "Race Slick" tubs fitted (tubs in good condition)
Syntace bullhorn bars and C2 aero bars (with new Fizik "Trigel" pads fitted) - nice colour :-)
Thomson layback 410mm black 27.2mm seatpost (or layforward if you prefer!)
SRAM Rival brakes
Bontrager aero brake levers
Truvativ Rouleur GXP crankset with SRAM GXP BB (Italian)
Dura Ace 54T TT chainring (I have the 53 ring that came with the Truvativ chainset too if prefer - the inner is a 39 btw)
Shimano 600 rear mech. I think it's referred to as a "tricolour" model
SRAM X8 99 8 speed chain
Shimano 7 speed down tube shifters (I have a pair, but only the rear is fitted).
I'd like to keep the saddle and pedals.
At the moment the shifting is a little "interesting". It's restricted to 6 of the 7 sprockets as the mech touches the disc if it goes into the 7th gear. As you will see from the "current projects" thread, people do seem to this that this issue can be sorted.
How does £575 delivered (depending on location) sound? Or PM me with offers for the bits of interest so I can consider splitting. Thanks, Damian. Pics below (including some of the bike in other "clothing" in case you're only interested in the frameset):
