Got a new camera in the post, so I'll try to take some pictures where you can see the colour - my phone overexposes everything. -

New cables and shifters in the pipeline.
picked it up at the car boot a while ago, as it seemed a really nice size for my girlfriend - she hasn't really enjoyed riding a bike since she broke her arm on one as a kid, and a teeny little stepover job seemed spot on. Gave it a service and new tyres straight away, and replaced the nasty plastic brake levers:
The silver paint was starting to bubble in places and looking a bit rough, so I stripped it with the intention of trying out my new compressor doing a proper wet paint finish on it. Didn't have the attention span for getting paint mixed and waiting for some time in an oven though, so I caved and went with a minty green rattlecan job. Looks ok though, and it's got lots of lacquer and seems quite tough. It's all built up now, i'll take some pictures when the sun is shining. It had down tube shifters, but I would rather go with thumbies - anyone got anything cheap and aluminium? don't really fancy the 90's black plastic look.
