So are there any bonuses over a pure 29er? Weight difference is minimal and then you'd have to take an extra set of spare tubes.
smaller wheel = easier to accelerated, thought that was fairly obvious with off road motorcycles.
the combination of quick acceleration of the 26" plus great rolling of the 29" wheel would make a great bike.
