  • I think Cav would have had a tough time winning it if he hadn't been impeded. Sky were bossing it then Cav lost G's wheel a couple of corners to go, then the two Sky men where leading the train with Cav about five riders back, the twoof them looking around to see where he was and unsure what to do. Green Edge timed it perfectly, two of them surging through with Goss on their wheel. That said Cav was winding up and would have a got a decent placing to defend his Maglia Rosso. I doubt they will do anything about the Italian....in the Giro d'Italia. Although him and Finney crossed the line, both are going to be very sore.

    Cam amyone see Geraint developing into a proper GC rider? His time-trialling has improved, he was excellent in Paris-Nice and Romandie as a lieutenant, great lead-out man yesterday, if he was to fully focus on the road (after the Olympics) and improve his climbing, could he be a contender?

    Oh yes he won junior Paris-Roubaix too
