Dibs on frame please, intention being to try to fix it and if unsuccessful, would put it back in freecycle if someone wants to make a stool with it, does that sound fair? Is it a large frame or optical illusion?

Sure, it's yours and I hope you can fix it! It's a 59 seat tube and the top tube has an effective length of 56cm if i remember well... made to go with a 650C front wheel. Was my perfect size and I usually ride 56 square frames.

Hi all,
I took that frame from Opack a couple of weeks ago and I have been cycling with it on my back a bit since! Checking if I could get it fixed, and talking to "senior" knowledgeable forum peoples about it, etc...
It appears that it could be fixed, but the following should be replaced apparently:
-top tube (the hardest to source due to its shape)
-down tube
-top headtube lug
-possibly the headtube itselfIt's a job for someone like Argos, which is more than I can afford for a project like this, I have already plenty of bikes to ride!
I contacted JC first as he did a massive dibbs on it earlier on this thread, but he is not sure he wants it anymore so BUMP, for whoever wants a go at it, or, as Opack suggested, for a nice stool project!
I have removed the headset as I might need it soon on another bike, I took out the BB too, but will let it with the frame if required as it seems to be italian threaded...

**everything is free, all the bike bits come in the bag so you take them all! you can have the frame/tyre separately if you like
**
collection in hackney or hoxton sq
some raleigh brakes that are old ***** GONE *****
a bontrager 700c tyre with some life left in it ***** GONE *****
my old favourite frame. broken top and down tubes, the fork doesn't spin freely. ***** GONE *****
you could use the Tange headset and Tange(?) bottom bracket (dunno specs sorry), or use it to make a nice red stool. i really loved this frame, if someone could use it for something, that would be a nice second life...
thanks!
