September 30th is the traditional last day for BAR performances.
I know Clubman will think we're a bunch of big girls' blouses for not including 100.

Well, there's no point in including the 100 if it would result in no one entering the competition, so I think its best to stick with the 50 as the longest distance.......for the moment at least.
So far as the date of the end of the season is concerned, I see no reason why we shouldn't go the end of October. We are already well into this year's season and the competition is still at the planning stage. The CTT comp. closes at the end of September, but that is based on longer distances and there are no events in October, whereas there are plenty of late season 25's.
It seems to me that the majority of potential entrants are going to ride fixed. There would be two advantages to adopting fixed only rides for the comp:
A fixed bike* should* be cheaper than geared, so in theory the comp. would be more easily accessible to newcomers.
It would make our comp. a one off - different from all the many club and association BAR's.
