So i went to see the G-Wagen.
The guy seemed ok, bit geeky and apparently works in aerospace and was nice enough but still have a lingering feeling summit aint right. Rust was more or less what I expected, engine/transmission sounded good but engine was hot when I turned up, which makes me wonder if he's been trying to cover up some gremlins. Pretty bog standard you leave the engine cold if you're showing it to someone, no?
Apart from that looks and feels like driving a fucking big tank. For the money and my needs i think i'm probably barking up the wrong tree... I was clevererer or less deluded I would buy a Subaru or... shudder a V.. V... V... Vulva. I mean Volvo.
shirly there's something sexier out there that ticks the right boxes? Cycled 80km in the rain yest to see some 2002's and again, for the money it really felt like riding around in a creaky go-kart, not much pleasure in the treasure there either. I is disappoint. might crawl off and buy a bottle of nice whiskey to drown my sorrows...

What did you want it to do again? Those two are different cars...
-
• #10082
i wanted it to be pretty utilitarian/capable of handling swedish winters whilst also scratching what seems to be an impractical itch for vintage german engineering and aesthetics.... whilst also being cheap to run and maintain. i dun fuked up really.

Chav4? supposed to be cheap to maintain... Saab looks nice actually. Just seen a cheap Forester with only 87000 km on the clock for 3400eur. Is that because it'll be due a big service at the 100,000 mark?
