Also I'm currently listening to Pantera again thanks to this thread.
No way, punk.
Bought my girlfriend a nice new bike last night, picking it up this afternoon, so her old bike is surplus to requirements, and the space it takes up much sought-after.
It is branded 'Pantera', I tried to find out something about it when she first got it, but couldn't find any brand information anywhere, but it seems to be a pretty standard 1980s ladies town bike.
Some specs:
c.55cm/21.5 inch C-T seat tube
2 x 6 speed with Huret derailleurs
Cottered cranks
27" wheels - alloy front, steel rear with the ace dimpled surface that goes 'brrrr' when you brake
The paintwork is a bit scratched, and the rear mudguard rattles because the fastening that screws down has come off the three times I've bodged it back - admittedly I've never used the right sized screw.
The basket is a bit fucked so won't be included. It's a decent bike, but it's heavy and not really one for everyday use or commuting. If you want a pub bike or a beater it would be great. Want to sell it quickly so make me a good offer!
