  • HTC One X is the best phone out there.

I too was waiting for the S3 as I have a free upgrade available. But it just doesn't go far enough.

The HTX One X screen (if you've actually seen it in-store rather than online or dummy boxes) is superlative. It trumps the iPhone screen, it trumps anything that runs Android. It's mind-blowingly good, perhaps perfect.

Unlike GA2G I don't have a problem with non-removable battery. I cannot think of a phone I've owned in 20 years in which the battery died before I replace the phone with a newer model (average replace cycle is every 3 years for me, but every 2 years over the last 5 years).

The only two things I can fault the HTC One X for are:
    1) The lack of extensible storage. No SD card slot.
    2) It's not stock AOSP ICS.

    That truly is it.

But on #2, only the Nexus line are AOSP ICS, everything else is manufacturer skinned. So I guess that's just a case of waiting for Cyanogenmod 9.

So my only criticism of the HTC One X is the lack of SD slot.

That's really not much of a criticism. It's a helluva phone.
