Beautiful RALEIGH Rapide white racer in pristine condition.
frame size 62 cm (24").
I think it's from the 80's. It's an eggshell off-white colour. The paintjob is in near perfect condition apart from a few minor scuffs (I've couonted 3 little scratches. Can send pictures).
I got it from someone who had it lying in his attic (seems like it had been there since it came from the bike showroom when it was bought originally!).
Evrything has been checked. I have replaced all cables - front and rear mech and front and rear brakes - inner and outer cables.
New black handlebar tape.
New brake blocks - front and rear.
New Schwalbe Blizzard Sport 700x23 puncture protection tyres - front and rear
Beautiful (and rare) BROOKS Vitesse 600 racing-type saddle (quite valuable on its own)
SR Laprade seatpost
Nice Campagnolo front and rear mechs (see photos) and downtube shifters
Super Custom crankset 52/42 - vintage metal pedals
Custom quill stem and SR Road Champion Sakae Custom handlebars
Weinmann type 500 caliper brakes with Weinmann levers (original hoods in good condition)
Maillard rear hub and Mistral 217 rim - front and rear
6 speed freewheel - chain in excellent condition
Could you attempt to dress it up any more?
