  • cheers guys.

  • I dunno i reckon those vigorelli forks have got that italian 3D spacer on, its a new thing for 2010 i think

  • hoops, how did that inverse shim work out for you?

  • i couldn't get the right one unfortunately.
i had to use the 'search function ' method to solve the problem.

  • Yeah, but I got the tip to inverse shim my search, that yielded me a good result

  • the stem on the cinelli is an all in one handlebar/stem thingy that they made for 1 1/8 forks.
    very expensive i think.

And fucking horrible looking. Look at those welds. Integrated bars/stem should be prettier than that. Why couldn't they just release a 1 1/8th Alter? They obviously made the stem in that size since the Integralter was availabe in 1 1/8th, but they then went and spoiled it by only making it availabe with some bars awkwardly welded to it.

If you like that angular cut out look of the Alter there's the Modolo Oxo which is 1 1/8th and even better looking IMO. Good luck trying to find one though, I've been after one for ages, can't find them anywhere.

  • I tried filing one out to 1 1/8 - it ended up in the bin - there wasn't enough metal left for it to be safe

  • the stem only is the alter the bar and stem combo is the integralter maybe these two have different sizes 1" for the alter and 1 1/8th for the integralter

  • it seems more trouble then its worth.

that modolo oxo looks interesting but not holding out finding one..

  • Try a 3t Mutant or Cinelli Groove.....

  • can you still get the pin up girls for these?

  • could someone help me regarding cinelli alter stems..
i can only find them in 1".. but my fork is a 1 1/8 .. i'm sure i read somewhere that you can fit a 1" stem on a 1 1/8 fork.. but i dont see how?

looks like the vigorelli pictured below has an alter stem on a standard vigorelli fork which is 1 1/8.

    could anyone clarify please.

Thats the cinelli inregratler integrated aluminium bar and stem just like what cipo had they made it for 1 1/8 but trust me you wont find the integralter ive tried ( i did see one once i shoulda bought it if only i knew how rare thay are ) I did read a post on trackosuarus rex from two years back saying that cielli were going to rerelase the alter for 1 1/8 maybe sending them an email might enlighten you?
