Firstly - the sails on the Mill are now turning! It was fired up about 20 mins ago.
Rod Munch has posted a decent summary - we also saw plenty of localised flooding which was initially fun to ride through super fast but was a bit silly with hindsight.
Still, got 60 miles of riding I wouldn't have done otherwise so it's not all bad. Big thanks to Rod Munch and Woah Cats for being daft enough to attempt it too.
I'd be very keen to have another go (maybe when this drought is over?). I've ridden the Roydon section twice now which is the least scenic, hilliest and most permanently headwinded section - very keen to actually do the last bit. Will have a look at some dates and look at getting a v2 of the ride up again at some point.
