Apologies Cedywedy, there was only upstart and myself at the Mill @ 8am and we set off (up Essex Road!) at 8:10 as we were getting soaked already. I tried to refresh the thread for posts before we left but my Blackberry was ingesting water and wouldn't display properly! We picked up the Enfield splinter group (Woah Cats) and only found out about your post at that point unfortunately...
The reason I'm posting now is that the 3 of us opted to can the ride @ Royston (41m) sadly. It was pretty obvious that the weather wasn't getting any better and that headwind was absolutely battering us. As feared, there was nowhere open @ 11am in Royston to get a coffee and, after stopping for a few mins, we were so cold we could barely operate the ticket machines at the station for shivering fingers!
