Wanted: PD-64 Cleats

  • Hey All

I've been looking for some cleats for my Shimano 600 pedals for a while. Bit of research suggested I look for Shimano PD-64 cleats. Anyone else used them and know if they fit?

Can't seem to find a supplier online so thought I'd ask if anyone had some kicking around.

    Thanks!

  • Bump. Anyone got some for sale? Or knows where to look?

  • Business Cycles have them at $64.50/pr. That's pretty typical price, they go for £30-£40 when they come up on ebay.

Yoshida will do the job at half the price, e.g. from Alex or Ben, worth asking HubJub before paying for international shipping as I believe he has had them before, although they are not currently listed on the site.

  • They regularly pop up at jumbles for 4 quid or less.

Thanks for that link. Already checked them guys out but wasn't so keen on paying so much for them. Was just hoping for some second hand.

Wicked thanks for advice. Is that jumbles in London? There is hopefully one in Bristol in a few weeks so will pop along and see if there is some kicking around.

  • I bought mine off Lee Povey, I found an old thread on another cycling forum where he was advertising them. Look him up and get in touch. £15 for used but mint ones.

If that's no good I've got some NOS slotted cleats you can have, they do the same job without the triangular bit at the front. £10 posted.

Wicked thanks for the advice Tommmmmmm! Managed to contact him and sorting it out now. What shoes do you use with yours?

  • I don't, I sold them in the end because my feet were too big for the clips. I'm size 12, and with large clips I couldn't get my feet in far enough to engage the clips. Gave up, put them on Ebay explaining this, and just after someone bid I got an offer for a swap.

They're compatible with any standard 3-hole road shoes, but there are no rubberised bits so they might be a bit slippy to walk in, and wear out fast.

That's a shame. Only have size 8.5-9 trotters so should hopefully engage fine.

Thanks, will keep a look out on the bay for some suitable shoes.
