  • How about a meeting on Sunday either after polo or over lunch as the weather looks grim (again).

@MG I think what EMM is saying is that we decide as a group what we'd like to commit to before we tell the rest of uk polo.

We will still be adopting minimum standards for NS events. For 2012, the standards that an event must meet to be considered part of the National Series are:

-Tournaments must give players at least 8 weeks notice
-Tournaments must be able to cope with a minimum of 24 teams
-Tournaments must assign a designated tournament ref who will oversee the continuation of the ‘winner stays on’ reffing system
-Tournaments muse use a National Series approved ruleset
-Tournaments must consist of a seeded group stage and an elimination stage
-Tournaments must provide the National Series with a complete listing of results from all tournament games
-There will be no minimum requirements relating to court size/surface, HOWEVER tournament organisers should communicate with the National Series beforehand

Yeah this is better, it could be a discussion rather than a meeting, the email is difficult to follow

  • Has anyone heard of these? Thoughts? ...Geometry, functionality and look...

  • Those style of bikes are huge in Japan - they're called mini-velo. Good for small people and small apartments.

May work for slow/techy/ugly polo, but maybe not for someone your size.

    Did your bike arrive?

  • Selling one of my 3pmh x rik pole mallets (very light use) - £5

  • Bite the bullet get yourself a bad boy marino from peru. I think he is doing his own version of a coupled frame which can be easily split and transported. Also get a couple of extra little custom details just to wind up dan a bit :)

  • Maybe get a 70s Dawes frame. I hear this guy in Birmingham has one and it's lasted the longest out of anyone in his scene...

  • Didn't it break?

  • in a very minor way that could be repaired for 20 quid. now it'll last for ever!

  • a minor way? didn't the seat stays come off? did you even crash?
My 1st polo bike is still in perfect condition, original wheels and all.

  • ^ not playing hard enough

  • Ha! The frame staying in one piece does not mark out a great polo bike. It should be the bare minimum of any bike!

  • OG Chris, Lil' Chris and Yung Chris to start a team for the UK champs?

    called... "Chrisis"

  • or Chri3 or Ccchhhrrriiisss.

I reckon Og Chris, Lucas, LJ whould be pretty slayer (by birmingham standards).

If i have to explain it i guess it doesn't work.

  • \o/ My Polo bike is ready to rock with 18/28 which i can change to 17/28 if I likes.

    Pick it up 3rd May.

(I'm heckling my laptop, and may even spill beer on it later - vicarious tournament fun!)

Can we do this after the meeting tomorrow, Neil? Projector?

Wasn't MG supposed to be there? I want my £3.50 donation back!

  • ^ just says 'off air'

  • On again. Sirens about to play (dunno who they are, but apparently London)

  • Sirens is Helen (Bells), Julia (Bakenger) and ZoeB. AKA Mrs. Cam, Mrs. MAX and Mrs. Gormley.

I am supposed to be there but my team dropped out last minute and I didn't want to risk it. Plus I've not been well but your donation is probably buying beer in the USA right now ;) Bit gutted :(
