Man the paint job on that pink langster is beautiful!
How did you go about doing it? Or did you get it done professionally?

That's a proper looking Langster!

New front wheel, pedals, clips and straps.

Don't forget the lack of rear brakes and the HTFUiness of the fixed wheel.

literally spent about 4 hours sanding the frame with 800 grip paper to get a good surface, then used a big can i etch primer to realy eat into the the original surface then used 2 cans of cellulose paint in the required pink to get a good gloss finish. Im very happy with how it came out

Any opinions on the 2012 Langster? I'm thinking of moving my Jake the Snake to winter road bike and occasional 'cross duties and getting something simple for the commute.
I've not got any fixed bikes but I do ride SS off road. I've tested the gear ratio that the langster comes with on the jake and even tried a few rides emulating fixed by maintaining pedal pressure throughout the ride. I think with brakes, it could be a good move to improve my strength and feel.
I have heard a few moans about the 2012 model reverting to track geometry though. Surely this is a good thing for a fixed bike as it reduces pedal strike? Why would it be seen as a bad thing?

So much Langster love in here. I have an Langster Seattle and somewhat the worst kind of headset trouble.
The cups are ruined, and I can't seem to get them out to replace them with a decent internal headset (which I have already purchased).
How can they get so much love, when they run such non-standard components?
(I apologize for the hate - this exact problem is the reason I came to this forum, and why I'm trying to get out of the nursery :) ) -

D'oh. I have read that thread so many times, but I didn't remember that it was in this forum. I posted my problem in a danish forum, and they recomended that I'd take my troubles here. I'll take my troubles over to the thread you linked to, thank you very much :)

Most of them won't be used on the track, and they're not really that suitable for being used on the road (position, comfort reasons).
They're also ugly as sin :(

Just purchased a langster to use as a beater/pub bike. Here is how it currently stands, no plans to do anything with it other than run it into the ground.

Does it barspin?
That pink Langster belongs in the Hip Hop Slave Bike thread!
The traditional decals look so much better though. Love them on this Langster Steel
