i'd like to add to iCandy Dan's superb report for Day 2..
after demolishing 11 pizzas and alot of beer. .some of the menfolk headed to sleep quarters with more beer. where we were joined by Pieter. Our hosts husband.. freshly returned from a little sportive known as Liege-Bastogne-Liege and fabled stories about the Cote de La Redoute.. you could see the +275km etched on his face, he was shit tired and had driven back too.. but he joined us and marvelled at our own epicness..
