Split it! I need a black crankset! :)
-
• #5
but its my friend :( i want it to go as one thing really
give me a geared bike! -
• #6
If it really was your friend you wouldn't sell it! It's gonna hate you anyway so you might as well split :) Any geared bike?
-
• #7
haha dont question my logic! main reason is the frame is too small for me (im 6 foot 2) and it would cost £££ to adapt it for gears. Any similar spec road bike really, preferably nice to look at :3
-

Damn, I thought I found a loophole there. Well I'm trying to build my own fixie so can't help you there. If you do split let me know! It's a nice looking bike, shouldn't have much problems selling it :) Good luck

Well if you will put an advert up with no price (as per the rules), what do you expect?

thanks for the html link, couldnt get that to work.
ive edited the post, although i did reply with the price i had in mind, so it would seem that a problem is being made where there wasnt really the need for one -

You call that bike your friend yet you lock it up with a liquorice style combination lock?

it hasnt been stolen yet

it hasnt been stolen yet
from you or from the original owner ?

it hasnt been stolen yet
I think that may be more to do with the way it looks than your choice of lock.

what looks wrong with it?
the only reason i dont know what the frame is is because i bought it second hand off a forum, it had been powder coated so there was no markings/labels left. I didnt really care at the time. The wheelset was from a cycle shop in york, the bars are profile airwing oversized, the stem is an alutech and the crankset is an andel 48t which i listed in the description.
are there any other components people want identifying? -

Hey Jed, just a little tip, the guys on this forum are pretty clued up on their gear, hence the not so welcoming responses :) Don't expect to get back the money you spent as I recently sold a bike a few hundred less than what I spent - just how the used goods market operates... Or try your luck on gumtree

personal preference really, i cant see anything wrong with the way it looks, its pretty tasteful as fixed gear bikes go
-

Popcorn on a wednesday? You're spoiling us.
And no, it's anything but 'pretty tasteful', about £180-£230ish would be a much more realistic price. You'll get more money if you split it for parts then selling all in one. -
• #24
what features make fixies tasteful then? i realise the pedals on it are pretty goofy, and the forks maybe, but seemingly by the standards of people on here, anything which isnt a bianchi or something of equivalent value is tasteless and lame, and they therefore have a right to post a load of rubbish on someones thread, js.
i would be happy if i got £230 for it... -
• #25
I'll give you £200 for it
This is my fixie/singlespeed.
main reason for selling is that ive gone to the dark side and would rather like some gears. im open to trades if anyone has anything geared they want to swap around?
