^ This. If you end up desperately needing something uber-practical, then buy a cheap second-hand hybrid as and when that happens. In the meantime keep the bike that is more fun to ride!
Heh, I already have a Raleigh Twenty (a Raleigh £20, as it were) for hack/folder duties and a singlespeed Kona rigid mountain-bike with mudguard eyelets and rack mounts too...
So I suppose if I decide that I want to go fully loaded touring, I can transfer the triple groupset to the Kona and it'll make just a good/better tourer than the Raleigh anyway.
