How about a rough Claud Butler track/path frame with a crappy modern fork?
The best info I can find to date it (from the excellent http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/ClaudButler.htm) is that it is a 1954 Claud Butler World Championship Sprint. It has the wrapover seat stays, round to oval to round pencil chainstays, the CB World Championship sprint lugs, reinforced end plates to the seat stay bridge, (all shown in the 54 catalogue http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/CBcats/Cat_54/CB1954_Cat.htm), appears to be 531 (27.2 seat tube and is light). Unfortunately also needs a strip and paint due to various bit of surface rust, and has been fitted with a crappy alu fork. Someone must have loved it in fairly recent times and it has a Campag chorus BB & Headset and Campag seatpin.
I'm no Claud Butler expert though so if anyone knows better?
