How can a team that is not top of its league and out in the early stages of the Champions League be described as "the best team in the world" ?
This is very silly. Anybody with eyes can see Barcelona have been on a different level the past few years. I think the number of people who recognise them as the 'best team of their lifetime' attests to that. I hate the term, but lots of your opinions in here must be for the benefit of trolling. Since when is the semi-final the early stages? Take a look at how many Champions Leagues they've won recently if you're still in doubt over their status.
because they pass it round the box so well
They do, but credit where it's due. They don't like playing Chelsea, as they know how to beat them. Let alone a superior game of football, tonight was an immense sporting event. I was convinced Barcelona would walk it before kick-off, and felt no different with them 2-0 up. But Chelsea ground them down and stifled their play. Not pretty, but effective. Barcelona began to look short of ideas - all the pretty passes counted for nothing. They weren't willing to risk unexpected shots on goal, and can't change approach if their clinical bullying doesn't pay-off. They panic when they don't get their own way and realise they can't impose their style and utterly dominate. Terry puts another black-mark against his career, so not all bad. It's almost enough to make me hope they win the final just so he misses out on lifting the trophy.
