nice clean welds there
now look at this bit of bodging in comparisonLike a stack of pennies, as my tutor used to say.

Yup. Price breakdown on my pair means I paid about the same for a non-powertap one :( Plus having a powertap in there means you won't fall victim to Zipp's dodgy hubs. Double win.
/just bought some more wheels, now poor for the foreseeable future. -

Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to report a suspected stolen item on ebay?
The report function is useless as it doesn't seem to let you explain the issue and won't let you report the item as stolen unless you are the law.
Item is the above whilst searching for geo info on the frame came across this.....
http://www.lbt.org.uk/cms/Forum/tabid/62/forumid/1/postid/4504/scope/posts/Default.aspx
Seems like the same item and seller is in Leeds.
I have emailed the webmaster on LBT website to contact the owner and want to cancel my bid on the bay but not sure whether sending a message to the seller is the right thing to do?
-
• #39815
what makes you thin it is stolen?
-
• #39816
If you open the JPG in the LBT link it is the same frame, same size, stolen in leeds area and for sale in the leeds area.
Might not be but seems likely.

It's a difficult one to call. The ebay seller has sold a lot of bike stuff in the past which makes me think they might be legit (not one off quick buck sale). Although there are also a lot of laptops for sale or sold by them, so maybe dodgy?
-
• #39818
he does show his contact details so why not just go round for a mooch, if he is dodgy it wont take long to find out.

^^ And notice all the laptops have no chargers. Seriously who sells a laptop sans chargér? I smell a rat.

Ah yeah. Well sketchy.
To be fair, he/she could just be selling on stuff they've got at car boots and such, but still not cool.

I have reported the link to West Yorkshire police, along with the stolen bike info.
No sure whether to contact seller to retract bid and question whether stolen or leave it until the person with the stolen bike and police have had a chance to see it.

Posted that a couple of days ago ^
its odd isn't it, dropouts deff look bodged but geo looks pretty track like. Perhaps its just the large frame size distorting my vision.
