Dudley MP and co-chair of the Parliamentary cycling Group Ian Austin has table the following questions about the government’s relationship with cab company Addison Lee.
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport to set out the details of any contracts between his department and Addison Lee?
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether, in light of the instructions issued by the Chairman of Addison Lee to his staff to ignore the law and use bus lanes, this department will review and terminate any contracts with the company?
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office whether he will compile and publish the details of any contracts held by government departments with Addison Lee?
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his Department considers drivers working for Addison Lee to be employed or self-employed.
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what criteria his department use to determine whether a worker is employed or self-employed.
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what criteria his Department use to determine whether a worker is employed or self-employed, and what assessment his Department makes of the applicability of those criteria to drivers working for Addison Lee.
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills what controls are in place to ensure that drivers working for Addison Lee receive the National Minimum Wage.
