both great frames. I have a nigel dean tourer which is my favourite frame, and I once bought a perthus for a friend which is still going very well. People worry about the 753 stays on the perthus being a) chromed and b) thin, but I think if you look after them and don't let them rust they are fine (certainly my friend has had no problems).
good luck with the sale, have a bump.

Lovely Peugeot and lovely price, too big for me but someone buy it ffs.
It even has horizontal dropouts! -

I assume that was the Peugeot posted in the eBay thread. Just interested in why you're selling the frame? Is it too big, or did you really value the groupset that much?

ridiculous price for the pug! I have a slightly different peugeot 753 and it is lovely to ride! Very very stiff (apparently that is a good thing)

I hadn't seen that the bike was posted in the ebay thread but I'm guessing it's the same one.
Unfortunately this is a lucrative venture to see if I can make more money stripping a bike and selling things separately, as apposed to refurbishing and waiting for a good price. Not as much joy in tearing apart a nice bike, but I'm poor so hey ho.

Whats the lowest you'll take for the peugeot? Do you have a seat post for it?
thanks -

personally, I wouldnt take less than 100 ;) Seatpost can be a mahoosive pain to source though so should definitely be sold with the frame....but its 753 ffs....that is hundreds of generations better than 531 :)

I didn't really want to take much less than £100 but sometimes this forum gives you the feeling that you've overvalued things. I can however add the seatpost for £85.

Maybe a stupid question but can't really see from the dropouts (browsing on my phone) whether you could set it up single speed, if you could i'd def be interested at that price..

Is it definitely a 26.4 seat post diameter? They're not that hard to source!
I though the issue was that these frames have weird sizes. Mine is a 26.8 but that's a later model.EDIT: Just noticed that it wasn't OP saying the seatposts were hard to source, so NM.

Unfortunately no proof that this frame was built by Nigel Dean other than the assurance of its previous owner. Mentioned previous owner also saw fit to strip the original paint job and replace it with a very bad rattle can red, so the frame needs a respray. There is also a ding (shown in pics) at the top of the seat stay which hasn't effected the alignment of the stays.
The frame is however very well built with some lovely lugs and very light for its size.

The paint job has seen better days with a number of scratches/chips, most notably on the seat tube where (best guess) heat has been applied to the seat tube to remove a stuck post. The area has been patched up but not professionally.
The fixed cup is still present as my crappy wrench can't grip it, so I haven't been able to give it a proper go.
Otherwise a lovely light frame with no dings and working threads.
