Important Update
Hey guys, please read through this post carefully.
Us CBG guys met last week to talk about this tourney, and we wanted to confirm some things with you and let you know some salient dates to put in your diaries.
We will be running two courts on Saturday, and one court on Sunday. Due to the differences in the two courts (lighting and slight difference in surface and boards on the temporary second court), we will make sure each team has at least half their games on our standard court. The format will be Swiss for Sat, 16 (or more) team double elim on Sunday.
Entry fee and registration deadline is May 6th midnight. Please paypal us your teams fee (£10 each, £30 in total) by May 6th, to cambridgebikepolo@gmail.com. This is really important as we need to finalise format in advance and not have any issues days before the event to stress us out - thanks.
We now have a fully working, bona fide, Queen approved, ceramic Throne and wash hand basin in it's own little illuminated cubicle. No more portaloo (hoorah, thank you Angelo). Bring your own bog roll if you like it soft next to your cheeks.
We need each team to supply us an MP3 soundbyte (20 seconds long), or CD, containing your teams victory song. (If MP3 please send by email to cambridgebikepolo@gmail.com). Please send us MP3's in advance, preferably by the May 6th deadline! Alternatively, just email us the title/track name and we'll make an MP3 soundbyte ourselves.
We are having an outdoor living room (weather permitting), and perma knife fight courts on site.
You will receive a lovely free lunch on Saturday, veggie option included.
Free tea/coffee. Great local beer/cider.
