  • I rewatched Leon today, and was still enthralled by it. Amazing, as its at least the sixth or seventh time I've watched it. Brilliant film.

I watch it three or four times a year. Incredible performance from EVERYONE in this film.

    Merci, Monsieur Besson.

  • It's no Godzilla.

  • Have you never just take the money?

  • Saw Cabin in the Woods the other night, excellent film.

Don't read anything about it, just go see.

  • 'fast girls' looks good.....

  • Submarine films. What floats your boat?

    Crimson Tide
    Hunt For Red October
    Das Boot

I'm watching Crimson Tide again, as I trawl through my collection of maybe 600-700 DVDs. Its a great film; loads of action without anything really happening. Its a real exercise in the creation of tension and the feeling of action, by using moving cameras and fast edit transactions. I love it. Oh yes, great acting by all in the film.

  • I love Yellow Submarine. But it's not really about the submarine...

  • I know someone who's an ex submarine commander. He says the only thing that's vaugely realistic in hunt for red October is the bit where it breaches out of the water...

  • Nuclear sub was it? :-)

The whole cool story bro has lost its original invention, and now is a bit boring. Its like someone using the same gif to reply to many other people's input - ie. lame.

  • It was a nuclear sub; yes.

    etc

  • 'Above us the Waves', not a proper war film unless John Mills is in it.

  • The Guard - what a fucking great film. Laughed pretty much the whole way through. Good soundtrack too. More of the same please.

Yes, I loved that film. Gleeson is fantastic in that role.

    I thought it was shit.

    GA2G has spoken...

  • generally to be ignored

  • It was only my opinion. Those are still allowed aren't they? Of course if they're not, I shall have to come to terms with this new information.

    EDIT:
And already VB is being proved wrong.
