Hi, can anyone suggest where I could get this crack in my seatstay fixed? I don't care about cosmetics, so if it's something that could be fixed in an auto shop then so be it.
It goes all the way through but is very, very small. Still, it's a touring frame so I don't want to risk it with a load.
I have no idea what the frame is, but is 531 with Columbus dropouts, beautiful lug work. It's actually a cm or so too big for me so might make it into a laidback cruiser/tourer with town/porteur bars but that's a story for another day.
I've tried id'ing the frame before, even emailing Holdsworth, Mercian etc etc with no luck. Vaidas said I should take it up to Ted James but honestly can't be arsed to try and sort that out.
BB is also stripped on non-drive side so I'm not even sure if the repair is worth it.
£85 for a single seat stay repair is probably than the frame is worth though, tbh!

Formatting Help
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Your code goes here
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
