Got mine also off Tel (was the red/black Gents Racer Carbon).
Even though some might hate me for what I did to the frame (sanded and clearcoated), enjoy:

Oooh oooh I'm gonna play this game. Just took my Koga Miyata to work and swapped it over for my weekend racer. I'll give it a buff and take some snaps next week and put them up here.

Wow, some really nice ones up there. Tel, how do you find so many in such good condition? Have you been scouring the attics and garages of Holland?
I've never seen any around London, but there seem to be loads on the forum, obviously they are a sign of good taste. When I get a job I intend to buy another to convert - as tastefully as possible this time hopefully.
That carbon one looks absolutely awesome, IMO it seems these frames suit all sorts of different ways of building them up, saw one on here recently converted to fixed with risers, black wheels and messenger cranks and it looked really good too.

Not too many changes! Here it was in your photo looking nicer.
Next up will probably be the bars, thinking of swapping to the Bontrager compact ones that come in a 26 clamp, as I'm not flexible enough/have too short arms to be comfy in the drops at the moment.

Thanks guys, appreciate your positive feedback - especially since it was my first build. :)
Another shot of the seatstay - Koga medal. ;)

Lovely how the medal matches the bottle cage bolts!

This is the same bike as the fifth one Tel posted, but changed up to my needs. -

nice.
beautiful picture too. -

Maze that looks amazing, loving the paintjob and the chromed seat/chainstays. Is that a chopped Brooks of some sort?
-
• #15
Glad it gets some love, its a Brooks B15 (swallow, titanium) lemonade.

Think you've heard it before, but why that seat angle?

^ Picture doesn't work.
Here is another nice KM conversion, I've stolen from ArthurFrayn's thread:

My K M. Acquired from the forum's own PeterV. A 1982 Road Champ by all accounts.
Stuff I've done: Concor Saddle, Shimano 600 seat post, Tokyo Fixed mudguards, 3TTT stem from wblenkin (forum), Nitto Noodle bars from ScottScott (forum), MKS GR9 pedals and clips from Tokyo Fixed. Durano plus tyres.
Stuff I'll do at some point: Wheels (suggestions appreciated - this is my number 2, daily bike so nothing too posh), longer drop brakes (had to bodge these to hit the spot). The bike often sports a Carradice saddle bag, but my Bagman quick release has self destructed again so it's free as a bird for now.
Please excuse the dicey iphonery. It's lovely in the flesh. A real smooth workhorse. Comfy and fun.

Nice Wrongcog. The m || i || y || a || t || a || on the seat tube is all kinds of win. With the Concor and the mudguards, I think it actually looks nicer than the totally original version:

Cheers Lemonade. I have that brochure downloaded too! I'd love it if mine still had the AX group on it, but it wouldn't be my commuter if it did. I'd kill for that KM bidon too (although I think the mount is fugly. You're right about the decals, they are ace! Great bit of graphic design that.

Hah I was thinking how ugly those aero watter bottles and frame pumps are, each to their own I guess.
-
• #23
I like the bidon but can't believe the amount of plastic you get with the mount. I just like all the KM branded stuff from that era. I've been looking for a black and gold logo hat or jersey for months.

Yes, just like that. Too small for me that though.
Right, I did have a look but couldn't find another thread like this - (this one is not actually similar in content), but feel free to merge if I've missed it.
I bought a nice Koga Miyata off Tel (great seller) a few months ago, and I love it. I've seen quite a few for sale and a few conversion projects, so I thought it would be cool to collect them together in the same manner as the steamroller owners/ pompino owners threads. Basically I'd like to see other peoples ones and don't want to have to search for all of them individually.
So I'll start it off with mine. I'll warn you though I've mercilessly uglified it with muguards, cross levers, my favoured saddle, pedals etc - basically everything I've done to this bike has made it uglier but more practical for me. I also abuse it horribly by commuting on it, but it wasn't in perfect condition anyway - at least it gets ridden everyday.
Now show me yours!
